The food security bill gives people something for nothing and thus weakens the work ethic. Giving people virtually free food will keep them dependent on a ‘mai baap party’, trapping them into a permanent vote bank. It is a brilliant strategy of the Congress party at the centre — both the voters and the party will thus have a vested interest in keeping people poor and dependent.

The bill plans to distribute grain to two thirds of India’s population at a 90 per cent subsidy costing over Rs 1, 00,000 crores. To bring up the food security bill government will increase indirect taxes. If the same Rs 1, 00,000 crore were to be spent in providing public goods — roads, schools, power, and law and order — it would encourage entrepreneurs to start businesses, which would create sustainable jobs and raise the state’s tax revenues. Past experience shows that less than half the food in such programs reaches the intended beneficiaries. Hence, this bill might produce another scam when half of the 50 million tonnes of grain are diverted to the black market — a scandal that this scam tainted government cannot afford.

There are other serious risks associated with the food security bill. The fact is India just cannot afford this colossal spending. The latest budget shows how vulnerable are the nation’s finances and the way to its downfall

Reality shows in India a drama

Reality shows are the one thing which irritates many people in India. But there are even fools in this world that follows these shows. It’s so disgusting to watch children’s Little teary-eyed children between the ages of 8 to 12 narrating how they come from homes where they are the sole breadwinners and would rather join the army than be chefs, or how their father’s body caught fire, or how they help their mother make 100 dabbas a day – all interspersed with copious crying.

Yes you are right I am talking about Junior Master Chef India. What can we more expect from an Indian reality show, it’s all about drama and less professionalism. I remember Junior Master Chef of Australia which was telecasted in India last year. The lovely show was full of Professionalism. The spirit of competition was kept to a minimum, the children were stupendously talented and the entire series had an air of celebration about it.

this is India where drama, pathos and tragedy mark every reality show. The Indian version has three judges – who go by their first names like Hindi film villains of yore – Chef Jolly, Chef Vikas and Chef Kunal. Even if the judges didn’t have the requisite IQ or EQ to shut up and mollify the children, or change the subject when the child is close to tears, why did the producers and director of the show feel it necessary to broadcast and highlight footage of children crying? Are eyeballs and TRPs really that important, that you’re willing to emotionally exploit a child and milk the tear-jerker moment to its voyeuristic max?

Mumbai reverberated all night to the beating of drums, cymbals and dancing as nearly 200,000 big and small idols of Lord Ganesh were brought in trucks, tempos, cars, two-wheelers or carried on heads, to public pandals or private homes at the start of the 10-day Ganesh utsav festival here Monday. The night was punctuated by cries of welcome Ganpati Bappa Morya and singing of the favourite bhajan, Sukh-karta Dukh-harta and other aarti by millions of devotees amidst fireworks, as the elephant-headed god was welcomed in Mumbai and the rest of Maharashtra on his annual sojourn.

We always talk about the noise pollution during ganesh ustav and the negative aspect of the festival. But people have became more aware about it and focusing on how they will bring back traditional music and spread awareness among the crowd to no using DJ.

Traditional music is taking a place in our festivals from few years. Every festive occasion is accompanied by song, music and dance in Maharashtra the culture of traditional music is back today. Talking about the music of Maharashtra won't complete without the mention of Natya Sangeet, numerous folk songs and its great saint poets.

Traditional music reflects many issues from our society. It also helps our new generation to get connected with their culture. Right to reject

Election is on their way with BJP at its high point, Thanks to Modi; Rahul Gandhi is trying his best to criticize BJP as well as congress. Though elections are on long run but the assumptions are done on. Many times common people have a doubt that there casting to votes are misused. But with the recent decision given by Supreme Court has spread a positive energy in common people’s life and a shock for Political party. Though Nanrendra Modi support the decision of Supreme Court.

Two, the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961, already gives Indians the right to not vote for any candidate, through Section 49 (O). Under this section, used by a minuscule number of well-informed voters, voters can have their finger inked, and then tell the presiding officer that he/she does not wish to vote for any of the candidates and this is then recorded in a register. This implies that a voter declares openly that he is rejecting the candidates. The SC decision provides to citizens the right to a secret ballot even while exercising his right to reject all the candidates.

Right to reject is also followed by many countries such as Greece, Spain, and Colombia. Russia had an option but abolished it in 2006. Pakistan introduced the option in 2013 but later the Election Commission of Pakistan rejected right of reject option. Pressure on political parties to field meritorious candidates is always welcome, but merely introducing the right to reject would hardly suffice on its own. If the number of those who select the none of the above option exceeds the number of those who voted for any candidate, a candidate with a minor fraction of votes polled could still emerge victorious. An amendment in law would be required.

Racism Still on

Though people says that they are against racism but the recent controversy related to Miss America 2014 Nina Davuluri reflects that still there is racism in our world. Nina Davuluri   the first Asian American Miss New York, has been crowned 2014′s Miss America,  Davuluri, the daughter of an Indian American OB/GYN, Davuluri performed a classical Bollywood dance during the pageant’s talent segment, underscoring her Desi roots. Sadly, this only served to further enraged xenophobes and racists on social media, who all-too-expectedly unleashed a flood of ignorance on Twitter the instant the tiara touched Davuluri’s head. Some commenter’s, like Buckeye Elizabeth, chose to attack Davuluri for being Muslim, despite the fact that she is the daughter of Hindu immigrants from the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

The new Miss America was confronted with a challenging question during the poise portion of the competition when Judge Carla Hall (of ABC’s “The Chew”) asked her to reflect on the revelation by Julie Chen, of her decision to have plastic surgery to look “less Asian.” Davuluri’s answer: She’s against it. But in her response, she also managed to drop a pointed remark: “I’ve always viewed Miss America as the girl next door. And Miss America is always evolving.” Some mentioned ties to al-Qaeda and at least one flat-out called her a terrorist.

And a lot of the tweets were attacks on the fact that she is the first woman of Indian descent to win the pageant and wear the crown. She was referred to as "the Arab," by some and other commenter’s noted "This is America, not India." One called her "Miss 7-11."

Complexity of immature Deprivation

Every child has a right to grow and develop in a secure environment. However today this is not possible due to ill-treatment of child labor. There are number of factors which are responsible for child labor for example poverty, illiteracy, carelessness of parents, ignorance, and cheap labor. Children who are forced into such illegal practices are derived away from their social rights of education and schooling. People those who force them into these practices are not necessarily the outsiders. An uneducated and poor family might force the child into such unlawful act.

Child labor is not the end of misery for a poor. Further on these children are vulnerable to crime like child trafficking, abuse, illegal bondage and slavery. Child Laborers which are working with coal, chemicals and mine industries are at risk of various physical and mental injuries. It is said that if a child is working with carbon and other elements for more than five hours a day then he/she is prone to life threatening disease like asthma and bronchitis. When we talk about child labor in India, social cultural cause is one of the major reasons that draw many poor children into labor. In a country like India people are divided into untouchable and tribal community systems. Such groups of people find it hard to educate their family along with higher society because sometimes they are not allowed to sit in a classroom or even if it is allowed the caste system creates havoc in a society.

I do not know, how many rules and regulation or acts or set of laws have been passed over to curb this problem. But I will certainly say that here we need to stop and think. Think whether we can tolerate if our own child is treated with similar kind of disrespect. Never, it is indeed difficult for any parent even to imagine such atrocity for their child. So why do we let such things happen. Can’t we raise our voice? Have we become senseless? Is it extremely hard for us to hoist our opinion?  Answer to these questions will be ‘No’, but still we keep mum over the situation.

“If we can’t take it, we shall never let ensue it” this should be our motto toward the humanity.

Hookah or cigarettes guess which is less harmful

According to a new research presented at American Chemical Society hookah is less harmful then cigarettes smoking hookahs may be a better decision as compared to smoking cigarettes as they contain lesser levels of four toxic metals namely arsenic, lead, cadmium and chromium.

The difference does not just lie in the filtration process but in the composition of tobacco itself. Tobacco prepared specially for shisha was found to be less harmful, than that prepared for cigarettes. But it is difficult to compare the two since an average hookah session lasts for an hour and 200 puffs while an average cigarette lasts only 20 puffs. Any form of smoking is dangerous, and studies says that toxic metals in hookah smoke are taking the first steps toward the necessary animal and human studies that will establish a clearer picture of the relative dangers of hookah and cigarette smoking

Some of the harmful chemicals present in cigarettes are- Benzene, Formaldehyde, Arsenic, Tar, Cadmium, Chromium, Hydrogen Cyanide, Carbon Monoxide, Nitrogen Oxide and Ammonia.  The smoking a hookah is basically burning tobacco over coal with some fruit flavouring. When there organic compounds are burned, they release a toxic substance called, VOC (volatile organic compound) and PAH’s (polycyclic aromatic compounds) which are highly carcinogenic (cancer causing).

The bright side to the study, it found that smoking a hookah reduced the amount of nicotine, (the addictive compound in cigarette) inhaled.

There is little point discussing whether Mulsims will vote for BJP if Narendra Modi is named its candidate for Prime Minister. Will they vote for BJP if he is not? There seems to be an overselling of Modi and underselling of the BJP. His supporters feel the election is the vote on him and only he matters in the BJP. This is absolutely incorrect. In practical terms Modi provides a little push, a small swing to the BJP’s numbers. While swings can lead to big results, He isn’t the election himself .The significant statement  of the campaign so far was Narendra modi’s remark that only religion of a politician must be the Constitution of India.

Well all we can say that Gujarati food may be lovely, but it is not to all Indians taste.   

Railway Price Hike

The railway minister Mr. Pawan Kumar Bansal has announced hike in price of railway fare. Last March when Trinamool Congress Railway minister Dinesh trivedi hiked the price, at that time the head of TMC Mamata Benrjee denied his decision. The Indian Railways had been in tremendous loss for last few years. Also there was no development in sectors like management, infrastructure etc. Railways being the on only public sector wholly under the Government, the Government only has the whole responsibility to develop it.

Government has been working well enough by providing us various subsidies and thereby making railways one of the cheapest mode of transport in countries. And also India is country with great density of railway routes throughout the country.

After the hike in prices of LPG, petrol is people ready to accept this price hike. The private sector coming into railway will really help. Everyone wants to enjoy more leisure and many of us are ready to pay for it. So, in this case if the private sectors invest in Railway, the price will hike with the better service. But on the other hand if Railway is also dominated by private sector the subsidies in fare price and the cheap fare for travelling will really affect.

Sri Lanka's media crackdown

It was definitely a slow and steady slide into a stifling reporting that the government does not like. Since the end of the war in May 2009, there has been a very definite slide, a very definite take over, or state control, of all media outlets, and that includes independently, or privately owned media. The Sunday Leader actually is a classic example of what happened.” the former Sunday Leader editor Frederica Jansz told Aljazeera Listening Post.

In an interview with Aljazeera she said; “The level of intimidation, the harassment has continued, they have continued to call journalists traitors. Lawyers appearing for me, and the Sunday Leader, were termed, or called terrorists and traitors. And you know, in the back drop of all that had happened to me …. I was told, and I actually began to finally believe it, that my life was very seriously under threat. So yes, I made up my mind, I have young children, that my sons need a mum and not a heroine.”

Frederica Jansz, who was sacked from her post as Editor in Chief at The Sunday Leader in September this year is learnt to have left Sri Lanka together with her two sons having been granted refuge by a powerful nation currently pushing to hold the Sri Lankan government accountable for possible war crimes and other human right abuses including abuses of media freedoms and stifling the press

under increasing pressure and continued persecution by the Rajapaksa dominated government.

Dr. Muhammad Tahir ul-Qadri pakistani Anna Hazare

Dr. Muhammad Tahir ul-Qadri is a religious guru of Pakistan. He lived 7 years in Canada and just returned last month in Pakistan. He is doing a campaign to change in Democracy of Pakistan without corruption.  He said in his speech held in Islamabad that “we want a pure democracy without any corruption. There are lots of supporters who are demands to expose the reality of corrupt politicians.

Since he marched from Lahore to Islamabad with his supporters, Qadri has set several deadlines for action on his demands that have been consistently ignored by the government.

As he delivered his speech on Thursday, media commentators noted that Qadri was speaking from inside his bulletproof and heated container while his supporters stood outside in pouring rain, braving the bitter cold of winter. Over the past two days, there has been considerable criticism of Qadri in the media and social networking websites for bringing scores of women and children for the protest in Islamabad.

Many of the protestors have been sitting out in the cold and sleeping in the open.
The ruling PPP has insisted that Qadri's demands cannot be implemented without violating the Constitution. Information minister Qamar Zaman Kaira has pointed out that Qadri was demanding sweeping electoral rolls even though the cleric cannot himself contest polls in Pakistan as he is a Canadian national.

The PPP's efforts to stand up to Qadri received a shot in the arm yesterday after opposition parties led by the PML(N) said they would oppose any unconstitutional or unlawful attempt to derail the democratic system.The protesters demanded an end to corruption and the elimination of frequent energy shortages. Some also voiced their desire for election reform. Although the numbers of the protesters were far less than Qadri's expectations, the protesters were enthusiastic and shared their experiences on social media.

Pollution in China

The media joined internet users in calling for a re-evaluation of China's modernization process, which has seen rapid urbanization and dramatic economic development at the expense of the environment. Media blamed low winds, saying fog had mixed with pollutants from vehicles and factories and had been trapped by mountains north and west of Beijing. Coal burning in winter was also a factor, they added. In an editorial on Monday the state-run Global Times called for more transparent figures on pollution and urged the government to change its "previous method of covering up the problems and instead publish the facts".

Pollution in China has reached dangerously high levels in recent days. Dozens of cities are affected by thick smog and haze, 40 times the limit deemed safe by the World Health Organization (WHO).

More than 100 million citizens have been affected; from Beijing to Guiyang, factories have been asked to close and people are being urged to stay indoors. Public anger has boiled over. Even government supporters, including state-controlled media, are urging the authorities to take action.

Smog is covering Beijing for a third day at dangerous levels. Haze is expected to remain over Beijing until Wednesday .Visibility is around 100 meters in some areas. Official readings of pollution in Beijing on Saturday were over 700 mcg per cubic meter of particles. Levels dropped to 350 on Monday but still above safe levels of 25 mcg. Children and elderly advised to stay indoors when levels at 300 mcg. Chinese are taking to social media sites to vent anger at authorities.16 of the world’s 20 most polluted cities are in China. 760,000 people die in China every year because of pollution. Cancer is nation's biggest killer and rate has surged since the 1990s. Cancer caused one in five deaths in 2007 up 80 percent on the previous 30 years 

Freedom fighter of internet No more…….. Aaron Swartz

Aaron Swartz internet freedom fighter found dead in his Brooklyn apartment. Struggled for years against a legal system that he felt had not caught up to the information age. Federal prosecutors had tried unsuccessfully to mount a case against him for publishing reams of court documents that normally cost a fee to download. He helped lead the campaign to defeat a law that would have made it easier to shut down websites accused of violating copyright protections.

Swartz was only the latest face of a decades-old movement in the computer science world to push more information into the public domain. His case highlights society's uncertain, evolving view of how to treat people who break into computer systems and share data not to enrich themselves, but to make it available to others. Underlying Swartz's work was a passionate belief that vigilance was needed to ensure that the internet remained open to all and that restrictions were not quietly passed that would have a huge impact on all of our access to information.

Swartz's activism is with respect to copyright. He was not looking for people who are rights holders not be able to get paid, he wasn't one of these people who thought there should be no such thing as copyright. He wanted to liberate public access documents that we pay for as taxpayers like in research institutions and elsewhere that should be free for people to access and use."

Freedom to access Internet…….... GOOGLE

The free flow of information in china is other issues creating problems. Google only has a small share of the Chinese internet search market at 15.4% which is dominated by a Chinese domestic company Baidu which controls 78.6% of it, according to a domestic research company Analysis International. Words would seem timed to throw Google’s considerable heft behind those who are pushing for free flows of information in China

Behind a powerful firewall that censors searches, curbs expression and cuts off access to parts of the web. Just this week, brave journalists and their supporters at two Chinese newspapers have been protesting publicly over official censorship of their publications. They would surely welcome such international support for the free flow of ideas. Though Google removed its servers from China, users on the mainland have been able to conduct searches through its Hong Kong website. Unlike Baidu and other local search firms, Google does not employ an army to self-censor its search results, something a minority of Chinese web users seem to appreciate.

Qihoo is determined to take on Baidu, which has consolidated its grip on China’s search market after Google’s departure (it is estimated to command a share of greater than 70%). A tie-up with Google would help Qihoo to improve searches and to better match eyeballs with relevant advertising. Google could benefit from the tie-up as the benevolent rich uncle, using the local firm as a proxy for its commercial aims. By keeping Baidu from becoming an utter monopoly, goes this argument, Qihoo helps keep the China market open for Google’s eventual re-entry when and if the censorship regime changes.

Freedom of expression

It’s time for change in china, Scores of supporters of one of China's most liberal newspapers demonstrated outside its headquarters on Monday in a rare protest against censorship, backing an unusual strike by journalists against interference by the provincial propaganda chief. Chinese journalists has started a protest against the press freedom. The gatherings outside Southern Weekend’s newspaper office have been relatively small: a few hundred people on Monday, January 7th, and at most about a hundred on Tuesday. They would have urged against the Communist part to uphold the Chinese constitution and the freedoms it purportedly guarantees.

The voice of the people have became more powerful who took turns to address the crowd appears to have grown bolder. Several called for freedom of the press and freedom of speech—as well as free elections—to shouts of approval from those who had gathered around on the pavement in front of the building. People held banner which simply said “free china”. At one point someone was heard to shout: “Down with the Communist Party. The Communist Party must step down!”

Freedom of expression is a human’s birth right but in china media does not have their freedom of expression it is some like dictatorship. Same drama happened in India, Mumbai two girls were arrested for the facebook post which talks about the band during Balsaheb Thackery’s death. I still don’t understand that which religious sentiments got hurt by the post which didn’t even take the name of the Mass leader.

We have our freedom of expression whether it is at individual level or mass level. The free flow of information in mass media is the universal right given to the whole world. There should be an equivalent news flow which helps the people to form the own opinion and not force by others.   

Intelligent Software

We all are addicted to social networking sites such as Facebook, twitter, and blogs for various reasons. We connect to our friends through social networking sites, meet larger number of people. Many of them use social networking sites for business purposes.  A social networking site has become popular at a high speed. Facebook is one of the best examples of social networking site’s power. It has made the world look smaller in our context.

          But many problems have come into existence due to social networking site. These sites are known for its freedom of expression, but are creating problem and instability in society. Countries are taking various measures to avoid the cyber crime, but Iran has a unique style to do it. Iran's latest effort to control internet access would reportedly give citizens "restricted and controlled" access to prohibited social networking sites. Iran has had an uneasy relationship with the web, especially as political tension between it and the United States government has widened. They issued a outlawing that help citizens access blocked material on the internet in May, and the country has reportedly been working on a government-run network that would operate "largely isolated" from the rest of the internet, fearing Western attacks. But some citizens have ignored the bans, bypassing Iranian filters and controls using virtual private networks.

"The designing of intelligent software to control social networking websites is underway."

          The country is taking additional measures with "intelligent software" to control access to social networks. It's not clear when the software will be finished, or exactly how it will function, but it could be an automated filtering system that removes or blocks blasphemous or other controversial content. Earlier this month, the country launched its own version of YouTube dubbed Mehr that allows users to upload and view content they create, and watch videos from Iranian national broadcaster IRIB.

Commercialization of Sports

Competitions alone no longer seem to the appetite of Indian sportsperson. There was a time when the athletes would put all their effort, knowing well it won’t give them anything except pride and bit of appreciation.

          I hate DLF IPL.  I think it is worthless spending my time watching the bullshit. I don’t remember the time when I watched pure cricket. The DLF IPL has made the sports more glamorous but the essence of it has lost.

Here are the things that it will affect the current essence of sport. When IPL was organized on first time it was craze among audience to see match of 20 over’s, cheer leaders, Bollywood celebrity but after some year people become bored seeing such kind of thing. Today IPL is seeing as unprofessional cricket with lots of controversy. Hockey is the national game of India. In this if hockey will become the sport like IPL format then the essence of the sport really affect. But on the other side it will help to create an interest among audience. Hockey is not so much famous like cricket and the players are also not getting recognition like cricket. So in this case the HIL can become the great hit among sport lover. But in short such kinds of manipulation in game reduce the professionalism.

Social Conditions and Indian Commercial Cinema

The Indian film critic should keep in touch with social conditions and changes to comment intelligently on most of our commercial cinema.

Indian commercial cinema ranges from slice of life to complete no-brainers. While we have films like Peepli Live talking about serious issues we do have films like Joker which manage to keep the same issue in the lighter vein. Such films cannot be reviewed with precision if the critic is not aware of the social conditions. Unless you understand the pain of a farmer and the functioning of media, you will not be able to judge a Peepli Live.

Also, with changing times films are moving more towards getting the real setting right. Films such as Do Dooni Chaar or Vicky Donor are perfect examples of it. But, to understand such concepts, one again needs to understand the issues at hand. For instance, buying a car as depicted in Do Dooni Char may not be a big deal for an elite family but for a government schoolteacher it may mean a lot.

The above-mentioned statement can be studied with the help of three examples – Slumdog Millionaire, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam and Aarakshan.

Set in a slum in Mumbai, the first film was a story of a poor boy’s journey to becoming a millionaire. The film won several awards and accolades but not good reviews. While it appealed to some, for Indian audience the story wasn’t new. One has seen such depictions in several films in the past. While reviewing this film, the reviewer will have to possess some knowledge about those films and the setting. For a reviewer with zero understanding of life in a slum, understanding the basic concept of the film would be difficult.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam was a film, which reflected the other side of our society. It dealt with people from exceptionally rich families and their issues. This kind of film falls into the candyfloss category. So, they will have to be judged on those parameters. While poverty is a reality in India, so is prosperity. Again, a person who fails to understand that might find it difficult to relate to. So, the review will have to mention the kind of audience it would appeal to.

Aarakshan was a film that spoke about the complex issue of caste reservation in education. The film was panned by several critics. Reason: they claimed that it did not deal with the issue with maturity. The film, to them, seemed juvenile. To review such a film, one needs an understanding of the caste system structure in India. The reason behind the introduction of reservation, its advantages and disadvantages. If the reviewer does not understand this, he might never be able to judge the film. There are several issues that the film doesn’t talk about. But, to mention that in the review, one needs to understand that those issues exist. Also, the solution offered seems trivial. Again, this can only be understood by someone who understands how complicated the issue is.

So, just having knowledge about filmmaking may not always help. For, films do act as a mirror to society’s problems. They do deal with the real and more. They are more or less set in the society that is a complex maze. Trying to decode them by divorcing them from their reality would be an unfair practice.

Bank boom in 2013

The chances of job in the financial sector are brighter in 2013 as compared to last year. It is due to the impending entry of new players in banking following a liberalization of licenses’.  

          Reserve Bank of India is gearing up to finalize the guidelines for issuing banking licenses’ to new entries, it will provide direct and indirect employment for about 50,000 people over the next couple of years.

          The recruitment is expected to gain solid momentum only if new banks decide to focus on retail business and not remain confined to corporate banking. Business to Business works involves fewer people doing larger deals. With the arrival of new bank there will be expansion of branch network and there would be big recruitment drive in case the new banking entities decide to focus on retail.

          Several business houses including the Aditya Birla Group, the Tatas and Anil Ambain led Reliance Group has evinced interest in entering the banking space. Many existing such as Axis Bank have planned to expand their retail networks and increase headcount. The year 2012 was not particularly eventful for the  industry, especially with several multinational ones such as HSBC and Citigroup announcing their plans to restructure and downsize.

  There has been uncertainty for most employees engaged in the financial services sector with the global slowdown hitting home There have been several who have lost their jobs but with hopes of new banks coming in finally, we are hoping that the job market will look up.

These lines are one of the most famous of 20 the century. It shows the great achievement if mankind in this world. One made its special place in the history of humanity and science. This line also was target of controversy and is again in discussion. It is now said that Neil Armstrong lied about the composition of this line.

These famous lines were uttered by Neil Armstrong when he landed on the lunar surface. Millions of people witnessed. When Neil Armstrong himself saw the recording he said that syllabal "a" was missing. And even people who saw him landing on moon had not heard that "a". It was later found that "a" had lost in process of transmission. This was the first time when this famous line was in news for an altogether different matter. Many scholars were discussing about the sentence and its meaning with and without the notorious "a".

          A series of news and rare interviews with his family broadcast on BBC. Two have revealed that Armstrong scripted his famous words several months before the launch. Now due to the statement people say that Armstrong is a liar.

          I don’t understand why media and people are making it such a big issue. Is it really worth discussion? They are saying the Armstrong is a liar, but by doing such discussion will the history change. He was the first man to land on moon and it will never change.

The reported airstrike continued a day of intense violence in the country.Earlier, rebels in the north attacked a sprawling air base as the opposition expanded its offensive on military airports.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the rebel assault on the Afis military air base near Taftanaz was preceded by heavy shelling of the area, and the fighters appeared to be trying to storm the facility.

Observatory director Rami Abdul-Rahman described the attack as one "of the most intense" on the airfield. There was no immediate account of the fighting around the air base from Syrian state media

There was no breakdown by ethnicity or information about whether the dead were rebels, soldiers or civilians. Previously, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights had put the toll at around 45,000 confirmed dead but said the real number was likely to be much higher.

Pussy Riot is a Russian feminist punk rock band based in Moscow. It is founded in August 2011 it consist of 11 women from age 20 to 33 years. These women wear colorful mask on their faces. The uniform of  bright dresses and balaclavas, which makes them both memorable and anonymous; the terse, splenetic punk racket; the unlicensed occupation of public spaces for their performances, and their subsequent dissemination on social media.

          The controversy of Pussy Riot singer was that the lyric which they used in the song was objected by the church. They performs done in the church was not accept by the church authority, three of the singer were arrested due making such lyrics. The song was ‘Punk Player’   the English translation of the song is

After the Delhi rape cases were people are fight for a change in the society such vulgar lyrics make us think that what are we doing is useless. But more significantly, I want to know why this is coming up today. Indian kids have been grooving to songs like “Ch**t” (“Cu*t”) for years. Did it take a woman being raped, beaten and partially disemboweled to wake up these kids, many of whom are protesting the attitude of millions upon millions of people who think about as much of a woman as the title of that song? Did anyone ever think that nearly seven years of that message seeping into the ears of the people, especially men who harass women, was doing slow damage on its own?  

          Is this is our young India? We talk about the freedom of expression. Then why a woman does not have a freedom to having sex or playing around as men does. Then the women is named as b***h or character less or French lover……

denationalisation of coal?

To boost the Indian Economy Deputy Chairperson of Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia argued that denationalsiation of the coal sector. Finance ministry’s mid-term review that country’s growth has dipped below 6%. Amid growing concerns over the Indian economy not seeing any signs of revival, Since 1973 Government has only allowed the minor private section in the coal sector.

           India’s position as coal monopolistic has not helped it to boost. The plan panel has said that 23,000 MW of power capacity added in the 11^th Five Year Plan cannot

be utilized due to the absence of coal linkages. There is a 122 million tone gap between the demand and supply factors of coal India

          Privatization, Liberalization Globalization, has helped our economy to boost up since 20 years. It helped our economy to give a perfect shape in term of societies and economics. It helped countries like china and India to become developing nation. FDI in retail has created a buzz in the media but the major loss in the coal sector is not recognized. Through the support to denationalize coal mining in India will increase the competition at global front, bringing about utilization of state of the art mining technology. But the critics say that such proposal or measures could lead to a huge rise in coal prices, resulting in higher electricity costs for the common man.

          Is a common man ready to get a shock like hike in electricity prices? After the price hike in petrol diesel and 9 cylinder’s a year. 

LGBTs want to march at August Kranti Maidan

The organizers of Gay, Lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community are looking forward to host the event at the venue on February 2. Last year they missed it out march because they didn’t get permission.

          August Kranti Maidan has a great history. Mahatma Ghandhiji launched Quit Indian Movement against British. What is the main reason that LGBTs are not getting permission to march over the maidan. Still India does not ready to accept these things with open arms. This community is collectively working for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender since many years. They are arranging various programs such as a flash mob, rock concert and standup comedy show.

          The activists will have the march outside of maidan if they didn’t get permission; the same thing happened last year they had the march outside to maidan because they didn’t get permission from the board. Community members will also celebrate the ‘Pride’ month with several activities and fund-raising events in a run-up to the march. The activities will begin with a kite-flying contest on the Makar Sankranti on January 14. They will also showcase cinema related to LGBTs at Indian Institute of technology (IIT) Bombay’s Powai Campus.

Before the last year homosexuality was an offense in India. But after the Delhi court announced that homosexuality is legal in India. Become a homosexual is not a crime it’s just a physical structure of that particular human. To get this right they have really fight hard and finally court has to approve it. Now in India homosexuality is legalized. They have right to live like a human being.

How many more safety measures should we take?

        Sexual harassment is always on the priority and a discussion theme in the city. From eve-teasing, molestation, stalking, rape etc, women’s face these problem in there day to day life. Sexual harassment at educational institutions, workplaces, roads, bus, trains, temples, stations it happens everywhere…..

        Supreme Court has taken various measures to make city safe for women. They have install CCTV cameras in public places, it have helped them a lot. Persons in charge of work places, cinema theaters, place of worship etc but does authorities will take charge; they will not come up as it will affect their reputation and business. The Boards against harassment are also on process to put on. Public transport has made safer for women. Many more measures are taken to make city safe for women

        But are all these measures really working? Are these measures change the mentality of the men’s towards women’s. It is sure that, it will prevent sexual harassment, but will not get a permanent solution for it, will not eradiate it.  

        In India we do not have a law for staking. Even people don’t want to get involve in legal issue so they do not help if find in trouble in public places. Right from help lines to CCTV Camera everything is in working smoothly, but it cannot change the mindset of people. Women’s should not be stop to go outside in night, it is men who rape. Men should be stop to go outside at night.

      Population of Mumbai is curse as well as boon to all of us. It is the most populated city in the country. We find all different caste and religion people residing at Mumbai for live hood. Mumbai is the finance capital of India.   It is strength, but at the same time it causes a scarcity of infrastructure and results in other infrastructure related issues. Residents of Mumbai face many problems on a daily basis such as housing, costly health facilities, scarcity of open space, water supply, crowded public transport (local trains as well as busses) and heavy traffic on roads especially during rush hours.
       
The main contributing factor to these problems is the growing population.  
This focuses on the problem of overcrowding in trains and traffic congestion on roads. A measurement system is needed to gauge the impact of travel-related problems on "quality of life" since it is intangible. An approximate measurement system for transportation, therefore, is also recommended. This system calculates the overall impact of overcrowding and transportation on quality of life.
Roads cannot be widened beyond a certain width; the number of local trains cannot be increased considering in peak hours there are already local trains every three minutes. Due to these constraints, the problems of crowded trains and traffic jams arise and increase.
        
      Commuters' productive hours are decreased and result in the loss of business and personal human hours. In morning peak hours, the commuters travel mostly from various suburban areas to south Mumbai and vice versa in the evening peak hours. During these hours, the issues faced on road are excessive pollution, reduced mileage of vehicles and a loss of natural resources due to traffic jams.
Nowadays we have traffic update everywhere but only updating is the solution.

Target Police

Police is always seems as a noble job. A question that consistently hovers on every Mumbaikar's lips since November 26, 2008 is whether the Mumbai police are now better prepared to meet a Fidayeen attack. Every time people question the ability of the police. Anything happened the first person to blame is police. Why can’t people see both the sides of the coin? They are taking various measures to make the city safe. The traffic police also became strict in drunk and driving cases. They are not easy going about this issue.

 But there is also another view for it. Do we really care for our police officer? They are working 24 x 7 without food or water provide by the government. They get improper living space, 1BHK house to live with their family. When anything happen police is the first to suffer. If any famous personality is died the police protection is given at odd hours without thinking them. During the protection they are not even provided basic facilities like water or food.

We are happily celebrating our new year but they are working to give us security, keeping aside their happiness. Every festival and social event they give us security but what about their families.  We enjoy our festival happily. But the families are missing them. Then also people say rot things about police. Government has decided not to give pension for police. After dictating there whole life what did they get improper living facilities, no pension, no bullet proof jacket, and no food during 24x7 work schedule. The major thing is that people doesn’t respect what they have and always find mistake with others.  

Road accidents have become everyday happenings .Death and injury due to road accidents are reported every day. Bus accidents, car accidents, bike accidents etc...Take place almost every day. They are on the increase. Passengers and pedestrians are anxious about it.
             Road accidents are usually due to several factors- the carelessness of the driver, the bad conditions of the roads, the fault of the motor vehicle and the carelessness of the pedestrians. Some drivers get drunk and then drive their vehicle in a dangerous way. Accidents may happen in such conditions; some others feel sleepy and cause accidents. Most of the roads in our country are in bad conditions; they are not properly maintained or repaired. Gutters in the roads are dangerous, they may cause accidents. Some motor vehicles are not well maintained. As a result they are accident prone.
              Some pedestrians are not road conscious. Many of them do not observe the road rules. They cross the road without caring for the vehicles, this often invites accidents-the result is death or injury. The maintenance and repairing of roads should be done properly and in time. The bad conditions of roads not only make traffic difficult but also cause accidents.  Road accident has become everyday happenings .Death and injuries due to road accidents are reported. For example the recent news about the girl crushed by the police van. The people and the eye witnessed say that the fault was of the girl. The other horrible case was when 4 year old boy was crushed by a bus in front of his mother’s eyes. The diver was drunk

           Government has become strict in the case of road safety but, people should also follow their responsibility.   

Seems like never ending

Mumbai is a city which is close to everyone. People says that the city dissolve in everyone. Adjustment in this city is the remedy for every situation. Everyone feels that experiencing Mumbai is fun. The major part of Mumbai and what makes it work is the life line of Mumbai “local Trains”. People just can’t without local trains in Mumbai. But when this life line is collapsed everyone in the city becomes restless.

Since 3 days in Mumbai this life line is creating disturbance in people’s mind.It was the fifth straight day of delays on CR after major engineering work on Sunday for remodeling of Thane yard and commissioning of a new signal system. One of my friend said it took 2 hours for home to reach kalyan from mulund. The rush in local trains becomes double when such a major thing is happening.  Lakhs of commuters were affected on Sunday as Central Railway officials began remodeling Thane station and overhauling its various mechanisms to make the nodal station fit for the next couple of decades. Lack of information given out to the public meant that thousands found out about train service disruption only after reaching the station.

While CR officials defended their effort, saying advertisements were placed in newspapers about the work, they agreed that new channels of communication would have to be found out the next time. The old diamond crossings (track alignments which allow a train to move from one track to another) with wooden sleepers in Thane will be replaced with new ones. The Route Relay Interlocking (a mechanism that gives trains its direction) will also be replaced entirely. We do know that the remodeling is for the betterment of the people itself but it has taken a worst scenario is last 3 days.  

Winter Deaths

Winter is a fun time for people in India. We become lazier this season more. Another chilling morning in Delhi, minimum temperature recorded is 4.4 degree Celsius.  It continued to shrive as a bones hilling cold settled over the city. It is been recorded the coldest day in 44 years and continue doing the same. Hundreds of thousands of homeless people in the capital and across northern India are facing a battle for survival as minimum temperatures continue to hover near zero. Up to 150 people have died in two northern states, where temperatures have dropped to near freezing. Such temperatures are not unheard of, but the homeless, who in India number about 78 million, are ill equipped to handle it.

The problems at not only up to  Delhi but also in Mumbai and other cities. It was my personal experience when I had a random talk with one of the labourer in Mumbai.     
For Bola Singh, a homeless labourer, surviving this exceptionally harsh winter has been difficult. Sitting under a massive concrete flyover in the posh South Delhi neighborhood of the Indian capital, Mr. Singh is equipped only with a thin sweater and shawl to protect him from the cold. His lifeline is a small bonfire made of old newspapers and waste plastic items. "It's difficult to survive these temperatures. I cannot afford to buy clothes to fight the chill. It's the waste we burn that keeps us alive," Mr. Singh said. The winters are always a tough time for the homeless. We have been working for the betterment of this community for last 10 years

Non-governmental organizations campaigning for the rights of the homeless in New Delhi describe the situation as grave. As the government does not keep any official figures, the organizations estimate the number of homeless in the Delhi area to be 150,000. They claim that only five per cent to seven per cent of homeless people manage to find refuge in night shelters, which are run by either the government or the NGOs.
