Is Death Penalty the solution?

Delhi gang rape were five men accused of gang raping a 23-year-old student on a moving bus in New Delhi in a deadly crime that repulsed the nation are to be formally charged in court on Thursday.

Police will lay out evidence against them of rape, kidnapping and murder after the woman died at
the weekend from the horrific injuries inflicted on her during an ordeal that has galvanized disgust over rising sex crimes in India. The question arrived that should the accused must get death penalty. After the death of victim the accused are not only charge for rape but also murder. So, the case becomes stronger to give death penalty. The whole nation is joining hands, doing protest, that the accused should be hanged. But is this the solution to stop rape and other crimes against women. The crime committed to women’s and murder’s, the accused were given death penalty before also, the again the rapes murders do happen. The problem is all about the mentality of men’s regarding women. Women’s are always seen as a soft target. She is been seen as a sex object and not a human being.
The other main problem is the slow working of our judiciary system. The citizen wants to have a fast track court.  Constitution of fast-track court to try such cases and the promise of speedy conviction and deterrent punishment. But the judiciary system says that fast track court is not in their budget. But above all this the mentality of the men’s should be changed. The death penalty should be given according to the case and the situation.
